Mausam collects nothing about you

There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking in Mausam. This page says what the game keeps, where, and the one thing it asks the internet for.

What stays on your phone

Your garden, the city you choose, your real-life quests and your settings are kept on your phone only. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the game deletes them. If your phone backs up its apps to your own account (Android backup or iCloud), they are part of that backup, which we cannot see.

The weather

To show your city’s real weather, the game asks our server, mausam-game.pages.dev, for the forecast for the city you chose. The request names that city and nothing else: no account, no device identifier, and no location from your phone, which the game never asks for.

Our server gets the forecast from MET Norway, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, for that city’s location, and passes it back. MET Norway never hears from your phone. Like any website, our server runs on a hosting company, Cloudflare, which handles your phone’s internet address in order to send the answer back; we do not collect or keep it.

Reminders

If you turn on morning reminders, they are set on your phone and shown by your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere to deliver them, and you can turn them off at any time.

Purchases

Anything you buy in Mausam is paid for through Google Play or the App Store, which handle the payment. We never receive your payment details.

Children

Mausam is for everyone, and collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page will show the new version and its date.
